Flipkart introduces #FlipkartImageSearch, a cool new way to shop

Enough has been said about how the Internet has changed our lives. But the thing is, Internet is not yet done with changing our lives. There are millions of people out there, far from the city crowds, who are yet to come face to face with the endless possibilities introduced by the Internet.

Punit Soni (CPO, Flipkart), speaking at the Flipkart IndiBlogger Meet held recently in Bangalore, said that most of these people are now getting exposed to the idea of online shopping. Their window to the world of Internet? the ubiquitous mobile phone.

To make this huge task a bit easier, mobile commerce platform Paytm has launched a nice campaign from 31st July, 2015. As part of the week-long campaign, Paytm customers will get full talk time on any recharge between Rs 100 and Rs 250.

What's the most frequent activity that you perform with your mobile phone?

Is it using WhatsApp? Or answering calls??

Not really. Whenever you pick up your phone for any task, you first unlock your screen. You might have a lock pattern to unlock, or you may just swipe the screen to get into the home screen - but you still see that initial screen that asks you to unlock before proceeding.

Mobile, Money and Magic

Mobile phones, about 10-15 years ago, were just entering our lives. At that time, they were more of a luxury than a necessity. But still, we started to use them. During college days, mobiles were used more for playing ‘Snake’ and less for talking. A recharge in those days meant going to the neighborhood shop and buying a nicely printed card, often enclosed in a sealed plastic pouch. Postpaid payments weren’t any different: bill consisting of a bunch of color printed sheets would arrive through some courier service, and we would go wait in the queue to pay it!

And then, everything changed.
